Kingdom of God

I. IN THE LORD’S BODY OR KINGDOM, CHRIST IS THE ONLY HEAD. (Matt. 16:18, Eph. 1:22-23, 5:23, Col. 1:18, 1 Peter 5:4).

II. THE BODY IS MADE UP OF CHRISTIANS, NOT CONGREGATIONS. (1 Cor. 12:12-27, Eph. 4:11-16, 1 Peter 2:4-10).

III. DESCRIPTIONS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

A. Not Physical (Matt. 16:19; John 18:36; Romans 14:17)

B. Spiritual (1 Peter 2:5-10)

C. The Kingdom Is Also Heavenly (Phil. 3:20-21)

D. As A Flock Of Sheep (John 10:16)

Gospel Preached in Acts

A.  Peter preaches first gospel sermon to the Jewish people gathered in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:14-39)

B.  Peter preaches to a jewish audience in the temple after healing a man lame from birth.  (Acts 3:11-4:4)

C.  Peter and John preached to the Sanhedrin after their arrest.  (Acts 4:8-12)

D.  Peter and the other apostles address the Sanhedrin after being released from prison by an angel.  (Acts 5:25-32)

E.  Stephen preaches to the Jewish council by recounting Jewish history from their forefather Abraham as it all lead up to the coming of Jesus.  (Acts 7)

F.  Philip preached to the people of Samaria after the christians scattered due to persecution.  (Acts 8:4-8 and 12-13)

G.  Philip preached to the Ethiopian Eunuch in the desert between Jerusalem and Gaza.  (Acts 8:26-40)

H.  Saul proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues in Damascus after Jesus gave witness of himself in a vision and Saul was baptized.  (Acts 9:1-22)

Q.  Paul preached in the synogogue and in the marketplace in Athens.  (Acts 17:16-17)

S.  Paul preached in the synagogue in Corinth and also in in the house of Titius Justus.  (Acts 18:1-8)

T.  Priscilla and Aquila explain the Gospel to Appollos in Ephesus.  (Acts 18: 24-28)

U.  Paul preached baptism in the name of Jesus in Ephesus.  (Acts 19:1-10)

V.  Paul preaches to the leaders of the Jews in Rome and remained there for two years preaching to all who came to him.  (Acts 28:23-31)

The Bible – Verified by Archaeology

A. In northern Syria, documents written on clay tablets from around 2300 B.C. reference personal and place names that are stated in the Patriarchal accounts of the old testament

C. The capital and records of the Hittites, who were first mentioned in Genesis, were discovered at Bogazkoy, Turkey

D. The palace of Assyrian King Sargon recorded in Isaiah 20:1 was discovered in Khorsabad, Iraq

E. Tablets were found showing that Belshazzar, mentioned in Daniel 5, was the son of Nabonidus, the last king of Babylonia, and Belshazzar served as coregent in Babylon.

It’s scientifically accurate, even though it is not a book of science
It’s historically accurate, attempts to prove it wrong have failed
It’s prophetically correct its prophecies have been fulfilled
It’s impartial, presenting both good and bad of all men
It presents the world’s highest standard of morality
It has never been destroyed despite attempts to eliminate it

Biblical Phophesy

A. Hundreds of bible prophecies have been fulfilled, specifically and meticulously, often long after he prophetic writer had passed away

B. Isaiah prophesied the destruction of the Babylonian empire long before it happened (Isaiah 13:17-22)

C. Ezekiel prophesied about the decline of the Egypt while it was still a powerful nation (Ezekiel 29:13-15)

D. Joshua 6:26 tells of a prophesy that the man who rose to build the city of Jericho would lose his first born and his youngest son and 1 King 16:34 tells of the fulfillment of that prophesy
